Orlando City SC founder Kay Rawlins is retiring after 15 years with the club. Rawlins reflects on the club's history and achievements, including the 2022 U.S. Open Cup win and the 2024 Pride season. Rawlins was instrumental in building the club from its early days at the Citrus Bowl to the current stadium. He remembers the packed houses in 2015 and 2016, where tens of thousands of voices proved that Orlando was, without question, a soccer city. Rawlins also recalls welcoming the Pride into the club's family and watching the community embrace them with open arms. He thinks of the U.S. Open Cup memories, not just lifting the trophy in 2022, but also the Running of the Wall, a moment of pure, unfiltered passion that still brings a swell of emotion over him when he thinks of it. Rawlins is grateful to the Wilf family for their stewardship and the leadership they've brought—Orlando City SC's teams are in very good hands. He is also thankful for every colleague, player, supporter, and friend who helped shape this journey. Rawlins is looking forward to spending more time with family and friends, traveling, exploring new interests, and embracing what comes next with gratitude and excitement.
